Rocca delle Macie nasce nel 1973, quando Italo
Zingarelli, produttore cinematografico, decise di coronare il sogno della
sua vita acquistando la tenuta ‘Le Macìe’ di 93 ettari per dare vita ad
un’azienda vitivinicola nel cuore del Chianti Classico. Italo, che ha sempre
vissuto ogni esperienza con grande coinvolgimento e determinazione, aveva la
rara capacità di sognare e di trasformare i suoi sogni realtà.
La storia di Rocca delle Macìe è quindi
indissolubilmente legata al cinema. L’amore e la passione per la terra toscana
vengono tramandate ai figli Sergio, Sandra e Fabio: dal 1989 Sergio
insieme alla moglie e la sorella consolida e sviluppa l’azienda paterna
ponendola definitivamente all’attenzione mondiale con vini che ottengono numeri
riconoscimenti sia in Italia sia all’estero. Oggi l’azienda dispone di circa
500 ettari, di cui oltre 200 vitati e 22 destinati ad oliveto suddivisi tra le
sei tenute di proprietà: Le Macìe, Sant’Alfonso, Riserva di Fizzano e le
Tavolelle nella zona del Chianti Classico, Campomaccione e Casamaria in Maremma
nella zona del Morellino di Scansano.
Chianti Classico Riserva 2018 DOCG è
un vino emblema del territorio dove nasce ed espressione massima delle sue
caratteristiche, la Riserva porta orgogliosa in etichetta il nome della
famiglia proprio per esprimere il forte legame che questa ha con il Chianti
Classico. È il risultato della selezione delle migliori uve provenienti dalle
quattro tenute di Castellina in Chianti, un blend dei diversi terroirs di Rocca
delle Macìe. Al 90% di Sangiovese si unisce un 5% di Cabernet Sauvignon e un 5%
di Colorino dando vita ad un vino dal colore rosso rubino brillante, dal
profumo di ribes e marasca, con note di pepe rosa e spezie dolci, di corpo e
avvolgente. Il tannino è fresco ma suadente.
Da accompagnare con un buon formaggio ben stagionato.
Rocca delle Macìe was established in 1973, when Italo
Zingarelli, film producer, decided to realize his lifelong dream by
acquiring the ‘Le Macìe’ estate extending across 93 hectares in all, in the
heart of Chianti Classico zone. A
generous man and a lover of life, blessed with great intuition and
farsightedness, Italo was a noble example of the self-made man.
The history of
Rocca delle Macìe is inextricably linked with the history of cinema. Indeed, it
was thanks to his success in the film industry that Italo was able to fulfill
his life-long dream of establishing a winery in the Chianti Classico production
zone. Love and passion for the Tuscan land are handed on from Italo to his
sons Sergio and Fabio and to his daughter Sandra: from 1989 Sergio became
personally responsible for the worldwide distribution network and with his wife
Daniela at his side, was appointed Company President. The company estate now
extends to more than 500 hectares with, in total, more than 200 used as
vineyards and 22 as olive groves, subdivided across the company’s six estates:
Le Macìe, Sant’Alfonso, Fizzano e le Tavolelle in the Chianti Classico Area, in
addition to the Campomaccione and Casa Maria estates in the Morellino di
Scansano Area (Maremma).
Chianti
Classico Riserva 2018 DOCG is the flagship wine of the zone from which it comes, and the maximum expression of
that zone’s particular features, the label proudly bears the Zingarelli name in
order to highlight the strong link that the family has with the Chianti
Classico area.
It is the result of the selection of the best grapes from the four estates of
Rocca delle Macìe in the area of Castellina in Chianti, the blend of the
different Rocca delle Macìe “terroirs”.
90% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Colorino grapes combine
to create this ruby-red wine with its aroma of blackcurrant and marasca
cherries, with notes of Peruvian pepper and sweet spices.
To be served with a good seasoned cheese.
